KABOD International Christian Conference (KICC)

The Lord has put it in our hearts to organize the KABOD Christian Conference in Nairobi Kenya, July 16-21, 2019. KABOD is a Hebrew word for ‘’Glory’’, and it is our desire to witness the impartation of God’s glory on his people at the first annual KABOD Conference. Services will be held every day from July 16 through 21 from 9:00am to 8:00pm. We have already been joined by over 45 churches in Kenya, one orphanage, and many friends!

Our aim is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ for salvation, healing, and the impartation of the power of God, empowering the body of Christ spiritually, physically, mentally, and financially.

The KABOD Christian Conference will be hosting ministry leaders from towns outside Nairobi including, Nakuru, Naivasha, Kisumu, Eldoret, and Kitale. We will be providing accommodations and meals throughout the conference for many participants who otherwise would not be financially able to attend, as well as offering assistance to and blessing the orphans from St Catherine Orphanage located in the Kibera Slums of Nairobi. Our church, Glory Sanctuary in Nairobi, has been working with them for over 8 years.

The conference will include entrepreneur workshops to train and support young entrepreneurs and other business-minded believers.

To plan, conduct, and provide for the initiatives and programs of the KABOD Christian Conference, we have established a budget of $40,000.00. This amount will cover the venue, sound, publicity, transportation, security and other materials needed for the conference. It also covers accommodations and food for the many ministers we will host from locations outside of Nairobi.

Ministers from across the USA, Norway, England, Uganda, Kenya, and Zambia have committed to join us. A KABOD Organizing Committee has been formed for this event that consists of a group of diverse Interdenominational Pastors in Kenya who are passionate about coming together under the leadership of Pastor Alphonze Owino. Our goal and mission is to impact our generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to equip and edify our brothers and sisters to give them the necessary tools to help them experience their destiny in God.

Pastor Alphonze is the visionary of
KABOD Conference.

Over the last 17 years, Alphonze Owino has ministered across the world as Pastor, Associate Pastor and Evangelist. His passion for youth has taken him to high schools, universities and colleges, as well as churches throughout Kenya and Uganda. Pastor Owino held annual rallies in 52 Christian high schools – uniting the schools under the power and grace of God. These “Emancipation’’ Rallies still continue today in Africa where hundreds of young people have given their lives to Christ and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

In 2004 Alphonze met his wife, Alisha Zwirtz from Oklahoma City, while she was on a short mission trip to Kenya. Alisha fell in love with the people of Kenya and returned to Africa every year, she and Alphonze were married in 2010. Prior to their marriage, in 2009, Alphonze founded Glory Sanctuary International Church, a vibrant growing Church in Nairobi Kenya. Alphonze lived in Kenya for over a year pastoring at Glory Sanctuary before coming to the United States to expand his ministry. Alphonze became a proud United States citizen in 2015 and he and Alisha now live in Oklahoma City and are blessed with two children – Beckham and Zia.

Alphonze is currently the Senior Pastor of Covenant Fellowship Church in Oklahoma City.
