Look for Opportunities in this New Week
March 19, 2018What Does God’s Word Say About Tithing?
May 5, 2018Now the Bereans were more of NOBLE character than those of Thessalonica, for they RECEIVED the message with great EAGERNESS and EXAMINED the Scriptures DAILY to SEE if what Paul said was true. And as a result many of them believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and men.
~ Acts 17: 11
Nobility attracts kings, it is defined as showing fine personal qualities of high moral principles or ideals.
Several words stands out in the text:
1) Received
Receptivity: able or inclined to receive; open and responsive to ideas, impressions, or suggestions.
Being receptive is such a priceless treasure it allows you a review of your past, current and future life map. Receptivity will align you with the future God intended for you.
The Bereans allowed the word access into their hearts.
Receptivity is the parent of production. There is no delivery without conception, no matter how hard you push.
As many as received him, he gave them power to become sons of God.
~ John 1:12
Power to become stems out of receptivity. Give the word access to your heart, refuse to be casual with it. Casualness results in casualties.
2) Eagerness
The Principle of Intensity.
This is having a keen expectancy or interest. It is being fully absorbed. Intensity requires attention, attention creates expectation. Hearing the word with concentration and Passion creates expectation.
The expectation of the righteous shall be granted it shall not be cut off.
~ Proverbs 10:24 & 23:18
3) Examining
The Principle of Diligence.
Every chapter you move into in your life involves a level of conflicts in your heart and mind between what God promised and your now reality. Searching and examining his word will reveal to you how his goodness is intentionally overwhelming. Searching brings revelation and revelation brings revolution.
Seest thou a man diligent in His business? He shall stand before kings, he shall not stand before unknown men.
~ Proverbs 22:29
4) Daily
The Principle of Consistency.
Success is not a days job, it’s a daily job.
Consistency is a mark of Maturity. Maturity yields trust and trusts grants you access
1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child. I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child, But when I became a man I put away childish things
5) To See
The Principle of Proving.
The impact of proving what God said should interpret where you are and what moves you forward. Proving the validity and relevance of what you hear, before granting access to your heart, is vital because what you hear becomes the basis of what you see. God’s word is the center of life. Receive His word with eagerness, examine it daily.
Prominent people will be added to your life. Nobility is the key.
