Welcome to Covenant Fellowship ChurchWelcome to Covenant Fellowship Church - Founded by J.C. and Marie Hibbard in 1960 as the Full Gospel Assembly Evangelistical Association, Covenant Church continues it's mission as a house of prayer, praise and worship. We are an inter-denominational, full Gospel, Bible-based, spirit-filled, church. It is our goal to reveal Jesus Christ in life, His Kingdom, and the glory of His presence, preparing men and women to live an abundant and victorious life, and to spread the Gospel to all people.
Raising a people to grow into the knowledge of the divine life and attain their full inheritance in Christ Jesus.
Impact- Invest- Influence
THIS IS WHY WE EXIST
We exist to see real people with real issues in this real world encounter a real God by coming to Jesus, having their lives transformed for the better, becoming change agents to transform society. And as a result, our city, nation and continent will be positively transformed.
Our values are expressed using the acronym ‘REAP’
RelevanceWe believe we have a specific call to bring the harvest. The son of man came to seek and save the lost. Just as Jesus’ main task was to be an agent of reconciliation between God and a lost and rebellious humanity, our main task as a church is to bring the lost back to God and through discipleship turn them into radical followers of Christ Jesus.
We communicate in a language they can relate to using all possible scripturally RELEVANT means to engage them. Paul said we become all things to all men in order to bring them to God.
ExcellenceExcellence not only helps us reach our target audience better, but it also reflects God’s nature. After each day of creation, He stepped back to evaluate His work and declared “ It is good”. EXCELLENCE surprises and engages, it makes people want to take part and to desire to belong, it brings glory to God. There is no great story without a great price at the root of it.
AuthenticityWithout Authenticity there is no transformation. Since the Gospel is God’s power, Christianity doesn't need any hype or props on our part. We thus need to be real in all our interactions with each other and with those outside the church, this means we seek to always be genuine, never seeking to pretend that we are anything that we are not.
The real-ness needs to extend through everything we do including our services, ministry interactions and our day to day lives. Seeking to be sensitive and always ensure not to be a hindrance to other’s spiritual growth.
PassionPaul said “I will very gladly spend and be spent for you;” He was willing to lose his life for his faith. We are passionate about our calling to reach our generation with the good news of Jesus. We will do whatever it takes. Whether it has been done before or not to help them come to Christ. Passion is the fuel in the engine, it drives us to do what we do and makes us go beyond the call of duty, It sustains mission and excellence. Life moves and succeeds at the speed of PASSION.
PowerJesus said you shall receive power when the Holy Ghost comes upon you and then you shall be my witness in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the uttermost parts of the world. The gospel without POWER is no different from any other religious fables. You cannot prove that Jesus is alive and that He rose from the dead without supernatural POWER. Romans 1:4 says that He is declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.
