Welcome to Spiritual Foundations

Spiritual Foundations is a four week series delving into the fundamentals of Christianity that begins July 6 and runs through the month of July.  Classes start at 6:30pm every Wednesday night.

Topics we will be covering:

• Who is a Christian?
• What is Christianity all about?
• What did I receive when I gave my life to Christ?
• What is the authority of a believer?
• What are the things that accompany salvation?
• How can I live out my Christian life?

Christianity is not a religion.

Religion is a phenomenon of the yearning of a man’s heart after God in which case he arranges his mind, plans his activities towards pleasing that personality he has as God.

Christianity is the living pulsating life of God in the human body. It is God at home in a human body, it is divinity at work, alive in a human being, It is Christ in you, it is a relationship between a human being and a real God. That relationship changes us!

The more we behold him the more we are changed, the more we are transfigured. Christianity begins when one believes in God though one is not Christian because he or she believes in God, the bible says even devils believe in God and trembles. Christianity is when Christ comes into your heart and you receive eternal life and that life begins to function in you. It is God living in you, manifesting HIS glory in you!

In these teachings we will learn about that length and breath of salvation. We will learn about the Christian walk as the word of God teaches, building us to become word practitioners, doers and expressing of the word of God.

In this 4-week series we will learn the fundamentals of that way of life called Christianity.

• We will go into the processes and civilization of the realms of intimacy with God
• We will learn of God’s Love, Mercy and Grace, which leads to the fear of God
• We will learn about immortality and the realm of oneness with God
• We will understand what it means to be built-up into a perfect representative of God on earth

It all begins with a true and sure foundation.

Foundations take priority in all buildings. Foundations determine the strength, stability and longevity and the outlook of any building.

Just like a house, our lives need a strong foundation. God’s word never changes unlike everything around us. The Bible never changes (1 Peter 1:24-25). It is the absolute foundation for our lives. Apostle Paul talking to the Ephesians said “Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.  Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.” Ephesians 4:14-15, NLT
